Privacy and cookie policy

This policy explains what personal data Ratebni handles, why, who helps us with it, and your rights under the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law.
Who we are
Ratebni (ratebni.com) makes software for 3D print and fabrication shops in Jordan. For the people who use Ratebni in a shop, and for visitors to our website, Ratebni is the controller of their personal data.
For a shop's own customers, the shop is the controller and Ratebni processes their data on the shop's behalf. If you are a customer of a shop that uses Ratebni, please contact that shop first; we help it answer your request.
What we collect
Only what the service needs:
- shop users' account details: name, email, role and last sign-in. Passwords are stored only in a protected, one-way form, never as written
- shop details: name, logo, currency, tax settings, subscription and payments
- what a shop enters about its customers: names, phone numbers, emails, company and national address, with their jobs, quotes and the messages sent to them
- files a shop uploads: 3D models (STL), photos, drawings and G-code
- what you write in a demo request on our website, and questions you ask the Ratebni assistant
- the technical data needed to keep the service secure and working, such as sign-in attempts and error reports
Why we use it
To provide the service to your shop, keep accounts secure, bill your subscription, answer support questions and demo requests, send the emails your shop asks us to send to its customers, and find and fix errors.
We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use advertising or tracking cookies.
Other sharing
When a shop sends a customer a WhatsApp message from Ratebni, it opens in the shop's own WhatsApp, and the shop sends it. We keep a record of the message against the job. We may also share data when the law requires it.
Where it is kept
The database is hosted by Neon, and uploaded files are kept on a server we operate. Some of our providers may store or process data outside Jordan; where they do, we take the steps the law requires for transfers abroad.
How long we keep it
A shop's data is kept while its subscription is active. When it ends, the shop can ask for a copy within 30 days, after which we delete it, except anything the law requires us to keep. Error reports are kept by Sentry for a limited time and then deleted. Demo requests are kept as long as we need them to reply and follow up.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, each shop sees only its own data, passwords are stored in a protected one-way form, and the links customers receive for a quote expire after 30 days.
Your rights
Under the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to:
- be told how your personal data is used, as this policy does
- see your personal data and get a copy of it
- have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete
- have it deleted when it is no longer needed
- withdraw your consent where we rely on it, such as for optional cookies
Using your rights
Email us and we will reply within the time the law allows. If you are a shop's customer, contact the shop first. You can also complain to the competent data protection authority in Jordan.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Ratebni changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell shops about changes that matter to them.
